Someone will spend this money on the car, someone will build a bathhouse in the country, but someone with a clear conscience will give them to a powerful computer. Yes, you can laugh, but the systems at this price really exist, one of them is Meijin Core i7-3970x Ice and Fire. Why are they asking for that kind of money? Now we will tell.

Appearance

To begin with, this miracle in Silverstone Temjin TJ11. This is a full -size Full Tower with an unusual layout of elements: the motherboard is deployed 90 degrees, the ports up. At the bottom there is a spacious compartment for HDD and pair of power supply units of the ATX format. In standard performance, this colossus looks healthy, but Meijin decided that there was no limit to perfection, and sent it for revision.

Firstly, the case visited the studio of automobile airbrushing, where the factory black coating was removed from it and designed in the style of "ice and flame". On the right side, against the background of fiery languages, the company's logo settled, on the left-an image of a flaming Phoenix and an ice dragon, but the front side received original plugs for the 5.25-inch compartments. Secondly, on the right cover there was a window that opens the view of the filling hung with the premium water block of the company Koolance and illuminated by blue LEDs installed fans. Thirdly, the front part was transformed. The upper slot under the discs went to the red -smear of Rheobas Scythe, which controls the internal "Carlsones" and shows the temperature at different points of the system. In the center, having taken two seats, a panel arose that demonstrates the level of working fluid and equipped with sensors capable of turning off the computer in a critical situation.

Technical part

Corresponds to this image and filling. All collected on the basis of the motherboard MSI Big Bang-X Power II Based on Intel X79 Express: a four -channel memory with eight slots, seven PCIe X16 ports, six Sata Rev. 3 and four SATA 2. On the back panel – four USB 3.0, six USB 2.0, one PS/2, pair LAN, FireWire and outputs to eight -channel acoustics with additions in the form of coaxial and optical connectors. Note that for convenience, four more USB are displayed to the roof of the case.

The updated top from Intel was chosen for the role of the processor – Core i7-3970 Extreme Edition. These are six Sandy Bridge-E cores at a frequency of 3.5 GHz equipped with 15 MB of the third level cache. They work in pairs with eight senctua ranges of 8 GB each. Interestingly approached the array of data storage. Under the system, one SSD from Intel – 240 GB with a reading speed of 540 MB/s, records – 520 MB/s. To ensure the normal operation of this monster, I had to write it off from two kilowatt PSUs at once Chieftec SPS-1000C. And so that all this does not overheat – use it from Koolance, which cools the processor, video card and RAM.

Performance

Honestly, talking about the possibilities of this miracle is even somehow uninteresting. With such a filling, he pulls absolutely everything. Look at our tables. On one monitor in a resolution of 1920×1080, the system is not terrible Batman: Arkham City , No voracious Max Payne 3. All this goes well not only at maximum settings with an outrageous level of anti -aliasing, but also in 3D stereo. Why do you need such power? We answer – for 3D Vision Surround mode. After we connected three 27-inch display from ASUS to the computer and set a resolution of 5760×1080, everything fell into place. In such a configuration only from aliens vs. Predator we were able to achieve a stable indicator in more than 60 FPS, the rest of the projects were at a mark of 30-50 frames per second, which, however, is more than enough for a comfortable game.

Meijin Core i7-3970x Ice and Fire-this is certainly a unique system. She clicks the most difficult tasks like nuts and at the same time almost does not heat up and does not make noise. Yes, it is very expensive, but one thing that such monsters exist in nature cannot but rejoice.
