Chronology

Lela, a mortician, struggles to uncover the truth behind her mother’s mysterious death while haunted by ghosts and crushed under the weight of untold secrets. I watched this with a few friends with no expectations whatsoever and it completely lived up to those expectations. This film doesn’t offer anything interesting for me and at times it drags a bit with the more boring scenes. While I appreciate that it tries to add a mysterious aspect to the story, its attempts end up messing up the pacing a bit and I think it comes a little out of nowhere at times. However, I do enjoy the more graphic scenes towards the end as they are the least boring part of the horror of the film and I appreciate the message the film is trying to convey. Also, I can’t be too harsh on the film as I think it was well worth watching and not bad in the end.
