An anthology series about high-profile crimes or murders that have received public attention and notoriety. Evan Peters [Jeffrey Dahmer] says they had a rule from [creator] Ryan Murphy at the beginning of the series that it would never be told from Dahmer’s perspective. “As an audience, you don’t really empathize with him.
You look at him more from the outside.” Many episodes feature a 3M Command(TM) tape that is shown in the kitchen of Jeffery Dahmer’s apartment, this episode is set in 1991 from the previous one. 3M debuted its first Command(TM) product in 1996. 5 195 (2022).
This is a solid true crime show with a great cast. It’s exciting to see JD’s horrific story played out so carefully. It would have been 8, but the last two episodes focus too much on JD’s neighbor Glenda Cleveland.
She certainly suffered greatly when JD’s crimes were exposed, but 15 people were killed, whose friends and family must have suffered much more. I think those people deserve more attention than the woman who did a good job but wasn’t that involved. That’s why the last episodes are a bit slow.
