In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman?

Chronology

Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, plays a game to seize the reins of Gotham’s criminal underworld. Aside from the Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin in The Batman (2022), but failed. For his own series, however, the character is portrayed as a casual smoker who prefers cigars.

Farrell STEALS this series

The DC Studios logo is in a rainy Gotham alley. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Featured in Graham Norton and others: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).

The performances are bold and vivid

He’s impressive. Nothing in the character even hints at Farrell. The NY dialect, the sway and limp, the attitude: you’d swear it was someone else. The amazing prosthetics are very realistic and enhance the character.

Well written and thrilling

There’s nothing cartoonish about it. This is a great counterpart to Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say it blew Marvel’s line away. I hope it could get a second season, but I know that’s limited.

It’s a shame
