Basically, they manage the land and secure leases so they can drill for oil and gas

It is usually the landowner’s job to negotiate and make deals with landowners who own mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, worker housing (human camp), supervise the assembly of excavation equipment, and the drilling of the well itself, especially in remote areas.

Pretty cool, it’s fun

I think they do a great job of balancing both political perspectives (oil and renewables). While bias definitely exists and I don’t necessarily agree with the message they’re trying to convey to the viewer, I think it should be explored.

I don’t know why IMDb makes people write so much in short, digestible sentences

As I said at the beginning, this show is funny and Billy Bob Thornton is extremely sharp. I think in every other episode he imparts some real wisdom when he’s not roasting people every time he opens his mouth.
