Chronology

Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "Wool" – the book has 82 chapters. The floor fans in various episodes spin in the wrong direction, given the orientation of the blades.

I just started watching this show

Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Should Drink (2023). Something stood out from the start. The sound of the actors' voices is very clear. My compliments to the sound people, this is a minor miracle.

It’s rare to hear the actors’ voices with such wonderful clarity

I often struggle to hear what actors are saying in shows and movies. Maybe it has something to do with the acoustics of the silo? But I don’t think so, I believe it’s because of the very good work of the people who record and edit the actors’ voices. It’s almost like hearing the actors’ voices in a theatre, it’s so good.

I really enjoyed it

I’m a few episodes in now and I’m enjoying the acting and the story. There are good characters who are well portrayed and something is gradually being revealed about the history and operational details of the silo. I’m not sure where it’s all going yet, but it’s certainly keeping me engaged. I’ve now finished the first series.

There’s a significant element of the ending that is identical to the revelation that happens in the film

To avoid spoilers I won’t say the name of the film, but I’m sure others will know the one I’m referring to if they’ve seen it. It hasn’t diminished my enjoyment of Silo and I’m not sure who first came up with the idea because I don’t know when the book on which Silo was based was written.
