The camerawork and acting? Top-notch. The set design and script?
Okay, maybe not *terrible*, but definitely weak. The vibe I got was, “People are stupid; they’re not going to question this.” They’ll suggest a bomb with some clichéd visual or stage a mass public murder and — surprise! Just our slick detective protagonist sifting through clues like it’s a brunch murder mystery.
It’s the kind of lazy stuff that makes a pedant want to cry. That said, if you can shut out the little voice in your head whispering, “That’s not how the world works,” you might actually have a good time. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
