Jesus and Mary are a couple going through a difficult time in their relationship. However, they have become parents. To adapt to their new life, they decide to buy a new coffee table. A decision that will change their existence. The entire film was shot in 10 days. The Salesman: Glass is unbreakable, so your table will last forever.. Half in the Bag: Top 10 Horror Movies (2024) Part 1 (2024). I recently rented the Spanish thriller The Coffee Table (2022) on Prime. The plot follows a couple who have recently become parents and are learning to work together. One day, the husband leaves home alone to take care of his newborn child, while the wife returns home with dinner. The husband has an accident and the night takes a turn for the worse. The film is directed by Caye Casas (Asylum: Twisted Horror and Fantasy Tales) and stars David Pareja (Amigo), Estefanía de los Santos (Unit 7). Claudia Riera (Black Snow) and Josep Maria Riera (Asylum: Twisted Horror and Fantasy Tales) The premise of this film is wild and suspenseful. Events unfold quickly and you shudder trying to imagine how anyone could face such a situation. The acting is excellent, capturing the situation perfectly. The setting and atmosphere are tense and immersive and the "elephant in the room" is only one character and the audience knows. When the exposition happens, it diminishes. In conclusion, The Coffee Table is a unique horror/thriller that is well written and even better acted. It’s a slow burn, but a great, tragic journey. I would rate it 8/10 and highly recommend it.
