The differences from the book are small here. To begin with, John Snow did not swim in the harsh house. He really sent several ships there, but they did not reach the destination – they affected the storm. But this happened between the matter. The main plot turned around another. John Snow agreed with Tormund that he would miss the wild behind the wall, but in exchange they will pass all their jewelry so that the patrol can sell them and buy supplies for the winter.
