Danielle Deadwyler (Till, The Harder They Fall, The Piano Lesson) plays Ramona, a woman crippled by grief after surviving a car accident that injured her husband (Russell Hornsby; BMF, Fences). Severely injured, Ramona is left to care for her 14-year-old son (Peyton Jackson; Respect, American Refugee) and 6-year-old daughter (Estella Kahiha; Will Trent, BMF) on her farm. Then one day, a woman takes shape in their backyard. Ramona assumes the woman (Okwui Okpokwasili; The Exorcist: The Believer, Julie Taymor’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream) is either lost or insane, but as the woman creeps closer to home, it becomes clear that she is no ordinary figure. Her intentions are not peaceful. Now Ramona must pull herself together to protect herself and her children from the clutches of a woman who simply won’t leave them alone.
