In a mysterious and surreal buffer zone between Tehran and Winnipeg, the lives of several characters intertwine in surprising and mysterious ways. Elementary school students Negin and Nazgol find a sum of money frozen in the winter ice and attempt to retrieve it. Meanwhile, Massoud guides an increasingly confused group of tourists through Winnipeg’s landmarks and historical sites. Matthew leaves his meaningless job in a Quebec government office and embarks on a mysterious journey to visit his mother. Space, time and personal identities intertwine, intertwine and resonate in a surreal comedy of distraction.
